Album Review: The Slew - 100%

2 Australians, a Canadian and an American all walked into a bar & out came The Slew. An epic collision of genres and talent that explodes, leaving us with a cloud of grimy, electric, psychedelic blues. According to some sources The Slew started as a project for a soundtrack but the movie was dumped, however the muso's felt something that should never be ignored.

A connection of higher forces, something we do not control but know it exists. That thing that makes your tummy twirl & hairs stand to attention. 2 DJ's and a rhythm section, who would've thunk it? It reminds me of UK bad boys The Executioners, but with more blues and less drum & bass, maybe if Wolfmother, The Black Keys & DJ Shadow had a love child it would sound like this album...
